Shaolin Fortunes 100 is an interesting slot game by Habanero which features 100 pay lines and, although RTP isn’t publicly revealed, seems to be quite rewarding as we’ve been able to turn a profit very often during extensive test play for the purposes of this review. The maximum was 21,190 coins on a starting bank of 5,000 – won by frequent smaller wins of 1,000 or 2,000 coins, all while waiting for the free spins which give big rewards.

Shaolin Fortunes 100 is an Asian-themed slot featuring Shaolin monks and their training equipment such as the wooden dummy, nunchaku, or Shaolin swords. There are also pagodas, Buddha statues, yin yang symbols and ancient coins to recreate the entire Shaolin temple atmosphere. Graphics aren’t that great and, ironically, they feel ancient by today’s standards.

There are five reels and 100 pay lines, and the Wild symbols are quite frequent, and that is the main reason why this slot feels so rewarding to play. It is definitely a low-variance slot as the wins are frequent, and when a larger win comes your way it can double your bankroll. There is not much more than can be won, as there are three jackpots to be won, and the largest one is around $1500. But for those players looking to invest more money and trying to double it or win at least 50% on their investment, Shaolin Fortunes 100 seems appropriate. Of course, the house still does have the edge, as always, and winning money on slots isn’t a sure thing. But Shaolin Forutnes 100 looks like a slot that does like to pay often and pay big. More than half of the screen can fill up with Wild symbols, as in this case shown below, when there are 10 Wild symbols on 20 available spots, for a win of 5520 coins on a 200 bet.

The bonus game is triggered when you get three Shaolin Monk symbols (also seen on the screenshot above) on reels 2, 3 and 4 – they don’t appear on reels 1 and 5. That’s when you’ll get 15 free spins, and since this is a rewarding slot game, the free spins will be very rewarding too.

All the most important features slot players are used to are available in this slot game, including Autoplay, Gamble feature and the Stop feature, although the latter cannot be used to increase your chances of getting the desired symbol like it can in A Christmas Carol, for example. The Gamble feature is the one where you are presented with four cards to choose from and you need to have a higher card than the dealer – which is a more interesting game than the coin flip which is used often in Gamble features.

There is nothing else to do than to spin the reels and wait for the 15 free spins feature, as there is no bonus game or anything else that would add to the excitement. Apart from the graphics being poor, this is the only real downside of this game. But while it does not have a bonus game, Shaolin Fortunes 100 does have a progressive jackpot, three of them: Grand Jackpot, Major Jackpot, and a Minor Jackpot. The amounts aren’t that big – during test play the Grand Jackpot was $4500 – suggesting that winning one isn’t a one in a million shot, which is a good thing.

Shaolin Fortunes 100 is very rewarding to play but is one for the experienced gambler, as the profits go high up and then long way down, so it’s important to walk away when on a peak. While return-to-player (RTP) isn’t revealed so it’s difficult to say for sure, Shaolin Fortunes 100 looks like a high-payout slot, worthy of playing for a larger bankroll.
